2 hours away from Los Angeles or San Diego, Palm Springs is a perfect destination for the weekend! Discover this unique place that is sometimes forgotten for other « big » cities. With over 45 000 inhabitants, Palm Springs offers a variety of activities, restaurants, shopping and history.
Where to stay? Here are two great hotels to stay in Palm Springs:
Indian Wells Resort Hotel
The hotel has a huge pool and a jacuzzi with a complementary breakfast. We stayed at this hotel to be closer to Joshua National Park.

Palm Canyon Resort Hotel
The hotel was perfectly located near the mountains, it had its own identity. The hotel also had a huge pool with slides and a jacuzzi, as well as a bar near the pool serving drinks and food all day.

Not everyone stops by Palm Springs, however it’s a city where there are much to see and do. Located close to Joshua Tree National Park it’s a good place to stay before discovering the park. Palm Springs is in the Californian desert, there are many mountains and palm trees. Before entering the city you will see signs for Off Road Rentals activities (quad) in the desert.

JOSHUA TREE NATIONAL PARK
This National Park is a one of a kind, in the middle of the Californian desert, there are many Joshua Trees, rocks, cactus and lezards.

There is a huge Marilyn Monroe statue situated in the heart of downtown Palm Springs, at the intersection of Museum Way and Belardo Road. Located near the Art Museum and within walking distance of the shopping, dining, and entertainment district.
Just like Hollywood there is a « Palm Springs Walk of Stars« , where you can follow stars embedded in the sidewalk. The walk includes portions of Palm Canyon Drive, Tahquitz Canyon Way, La Plaza Court and Museum Drive. These stars represents celebrities (from the showbusiness, presidents, pioneers…) that have lived in the greater Palm Springs, such as Frank Sinatra, Marilyn Monroe, Ross Mathews, Barack Obama, Ronald Reagan and much more.
